When Joe Milton says he was born to entertain, he's not kidding. Picture summer camp... over 100 kids ages 8 to18....8-year-old Joe was picked to shout the camp cheer because he screamed the loudest!
Fast forward to high school where no one wanted to sing with the school rock band, so Joe tore up the crowd with his rendition of "Dazed and Confused."
Deciding to check out music as a career, he went to his "local" college, renowned music school North Texas State, where he quickly earned himself a great reputation, but no degree, as he was plucked one course short of graduation to join a band.
Life on the road began as lead singer/guitarist with the band Countdown, continued with Dave Waters and The Coupe, and led to tours of the U.S., Canada, Europe and the Far East before settling in Los Angeles. Joe had a lot of instant attention from the labels in L.A., but when his first two bands broke up, he decided to go the solo route.
What you'll hear now is the amazing symbiosis of player/singer/songwriter come together within one person. Joe Milton burns up the guitar while belting out his music with soul and conviction, then turns your head with his thought provoking ballads.
Joe is also well-known for his independent recording studio, Jo-Musik, where he writes and records his own material and produces new talent. Joe's songs have been featured in film and television, including the NBC mini-series, Hunt For the Unicorn about fugitive Ira Einhorn. |
